TRABAJO SOCIAL SEMANA 14 AL 17 DE ABRIL

SOCIAL
Esta semana vamos a continuar con el tema. En esta semana veremos GEOSPHERE (geosfera), la capa sólida que forma la Tierra. En cada sesión, les pongo un poco de teoría que tienen que ir copiando en su cuaderno y una actividad de repaso, o bien estudio. Si alguien tiene impresora y prefiere imprimirlo y pegarlo, también puede ser. A lo largo de la semana, en el blog publicaré el vídeo explicativo. SESIÓN 1: (copian la teoría)

THE GEOSPHERE

The geosphere is the big mass of solid material that makes up the Earth. It is made up of rocks and minerals.
A rock is a solid, inorganic mass formed in nature. Rocks can be classified according to the way they were formed:
- Igneous rocks: are formed when magma comes up to the surface and it cools down.
- Metamorphic rocks: are formed by the pressure of rocks on other rocks in a very hot temperature.  - Sedimentary rocks: are formed by the erosion of other rocks.

(A continuación, de tarea, hacen el dibujo de los tipos de rocas. Y buscan un ejemplo de cada tipo de roca)

SESIÓN 2: (copian la teoría en el cuaderno. Como la sesión anterior fue un poco más larga, esta es más breve.)

TYPES OF RELIEF

Relief is the shape of Earth's surface. Internal and external factors shape and mould three types of relief:
1. Coastal relief: is found on the edges of the seas and oceans.
- Peninsulas
- Capes
- Gulfs
- Islands
- Deltas

2. Oceanic relief: is found below the water level of seas and oceans.

3. Inland relief: there are plateaus, depressions, mountains range...



SESIÓN 3: (copian en el cuaderno y van estudiando. Al final del documento tenéis un mapa para ello.)

THE RELIEF OF SPAIN

Relief is the shape of Earth's surface. In Spain we can separate the relief into different landforms:

Plateaus: The Meseta Central is a great elevated plain located in the centre of the Iberian Peninsula. It is divided into two parts:
- Submeseta Norte
- Submeseta Sur

Depressions:
- The Depresión del Ebro: lies between the Sistema Ibérico and the Pyrenees.
- The Depresión del Guadalquivir: lies between Sierra Morena and the Sistemas Béticos.

Archipelagos
- The Balearic Islands, in the Mediterranean sea.
- The Canary Islands, in the Atlantic Ocean.


SESIÓN 4: (continuamos viendo el relieve de España. Siguen copiando a continuación de la sesión anterior y estudian en el mapa)

Mountains within the Meseta:
- Sistema Central: The Sistema Central is the mountain range that divides the Meseta in two parts.
- Montes de Toledo

Mountains surrounding the Meseta:
- Sistema Ibérico
- Sierra Morena
- Cordillera Cantábrica

Mountains outside the Meseta:
- Pyrenees
- Sistemas Béticos



SESIÓN 5: (estudiar el mapa, situando correctamente todo lo visto en las sesiones anteriores. En el segundo mapa, tenéis los recuadros numerados, lo que tenéis que hacer es escribir el número y al lado el nombre correspondiente.)

EXAMPLE:
